OREGON COAST + REDWOODS ELOPEMENT

JEDIDIAH SMITH REDWOODS STATE PARK ELOPEMENT + BROOKINGS, OR

seattle wedding photographer

Hi! I'm Natasha! Your PNW elopement photographer, dog petter and donut eater. While photography is my first love, connecting with people is my love language. You'll find me lovin' on the big moments, the quiet moments, the silly moments – but especially the in between moments. The moments that are unadulterated and unfiltered. The ones where you are the real you. Here on the blog you'll find all of my favorite tips, tricks and resources for planning an elopement day that's all about those moments.

PNW ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

A dreamy sunrise redwoods elopement with stops along the Oregon coast, a moody first dance on a cliff as the waves crashed below them, and a misty cake cutting with a burnt almond cake (not actually burnt, it's a whole thing) that was shipped from home? Say no more.

THE COUPLE

Have you ever just met someone that feels like the mirror image of you? Instantly you hit it off, it feels like you've know each other for your entire lives almost right from the moment you meet. Somehow they just get all of your weird jokes, your niche interests, it feels like you haven't stfu in hours and that all feels totally okay? Because with Sarah and Kyle, that's exactly what it felt like. As fellow dog loving, sourdough making, weird fermented condiment making, hiking/camping people it was love at first sight (I mean we fell in love at first sight lol). Two people so focused on spending their redwood elopement so intentionally, doing things that felt so true to them, that they couldn't imagine getting married any other way. The kind of elopement day that absolutely makes our heart sing. We spent hours and hours laughing (as you can see in many of their photos below lol), crying happy tears, eating good food, and have genuinely was felt like the best day ever.

In fact, we had such a spectacular day with Sarah and Kyle that we ended up spending about 14 hours together, they invited us over for lunch at their airbnb and lounging on the deck between photo portions of the day and man, was it hard to say goodbye even then haha.

THE VISION

Sarah and Kyle right from the very beginning knew that Jedidiah Smith State Park was the place for them. Having lived in Oregon for two years previously, they would often take trips down the coast, into northern California where they not only fell even more in love with each other, but with a particular spot in the park that meant the world to them. They knew since the day they visited that it was to be where they would one day say their vows to each other. Like c'mon, have you ever heard anything more romantic?

But now that they were back in their hometown in Pennsylvania, there was certainly some planning to do! And that's where we came in! About 80% of the couples we work with travel from out of state to elope in the PNW (we don't blame you, it's pretty damn beautiful here). So when you elope with us, planning it all while you're hundreds if not thousands of miles away, is exactly our specialty!

For Sarah and Kyle that meant during our Zoom planning calls we would cover the best time of day for their vows (seeing the redwoods while at their most beautiful was important to them for their ceremony) which in the redwoods meant just an hour or so after sunrise. It meant helping them secure the necessary permits for their ceremony, recommending local vendors, and helping them choose the best spots on the Oregon coast for the first dance and cake cutting. We would flesh out every detail beforehand so that come elopement day we could spend every minute having fun, exploring both familiar places and new places, and making some of the most spectacular memories imaginable. And day of, I even officiated their marriage and Brian signed as their witness! (something we happily offer for couples getting married in California since they only require one witness. Getting married in Washington or Oregon? I can officiate your marriage if you have two witnesses.)
