seattle wedding photographer

Hi! I'm Natasha! Your intimate wedding and elopement photographer, dog petter and donut eater. While photography is my first love, connecting with people is my love language. You'll find me lovin' on the big moments, the quiet moments, the silly moments – but especially the in between moments. The moments that are unadulterated and unfiltered. The ones where you are the real you. Here on the blog you'll find all of my favorite tips, tricks and resources for planning a wedding that's all about those moments.

THE VENUE

Like many of Washington's spectacular public spaces, having a wedding at Kitsap Memorial State Park is a competitive endeavor. Due to it's wildly popular location and spectacular beauty, the reservation dates open 9 months before wedding day and go quick! So if you're planning your own Kitsap Memorial State Park wedding your number one priority should be grabbing your date the second it becomes available.

THE COUPLE + THE VISION

When Elanor, a Seattle-based creative director, and Ryan a local entrepreneur, tech genius and owner of Plant Shop Seattle reached out about their intimate Kitsap Memorial State Park wedding I knew it was going to be something spectacular. After finding me on Instagram, they knew that they wanted wedding photos that were nostalgic and filmy, but really focused on the authenticity of their day. A balance of candid and posed photos, but what was most important to them was including the realness of their relationship, their love for their friends and families, and what they day would feel like to them. And that's exactly my specialty!

PLANNING YOUR KITSAP MEMORIAL STATE PARK WEDDING

Once Elanor and Ryan locked in their date we got started on our planning process! For all of the couples I work with, I send a questionnaire that helps me understand all of their creative ideas, their vision, their guests, exactly what family photos they'd like, all of the good stuff. Throughout the process, we hopped on multiple Zoom calls to hash out aesthetics, guidance for what their timeline would look like, anything and everything! Because they were handling all of the planning themselves it was absolutely crucial that we planned it all thoroughly beforehand so that on wedding day they could kick back and relax with their friends and family. By the time wedding day rolled around, we had their timeline perfected, their family photos list ready to go, and a vision in mind.

PERMITS

Kitsap Memorial State Park requires professional photographers have a Filming and Photography Permit. The cost is $100, but lasts for 1 year and is valid for all Washington State Parks! Obtaining permits is something that I handle for my couples so if you're planning your own wedding here (or in any state park), don't sweat the permits. I got you covered!
