Hi! I'm Natasha! Your Seattle elopement photographer, dog petter and donut eater. While photography is my first love, connecting with people is my love language. You'll find me lovin' on the big moments, the quiet moments, the silly moments – but especially the in between moments. The moments that are unadulterated and unfiltered. The ones where you are the real you. Here on the blog you'll find all of my favorite tips, tricks and resources for planning a wedding that's all about those moments.

THE COUPLE

The first thing you should know about Susannah and Mike is that they are the coolest nerdiest people I've ever worked with, because they're living my dream as geologists! Both of them! In fact the met in the geology program at the University of Washington and never looked back, so it only made sense that they would get married at a natural history museum. Not to mention, a Burke Museum of Natural History wedding is something directly out of one of my own nerdy dreams as a Seattle elopement photographer.

But besides being total badass scientists, they're the type of people that love a solid meal together, traveling all over, nerding out over Star Wars together and obsessing over their cat Zorro. People who never take the world too seriously, and are always down for a good time, down to appreciate the little things, and most of all, spend time with each other just being. And that's pretty damn perfect, isn't it?

THE VISION

Susannah and Mike's vision for the Burke Museum of Natural History wedding was unique, and it has to be! Because how often do you get to have a wedding in a VERY cool natural history museum in Seattle?! So when we got to planning, the emphasis on intentional moments for them was crucial. Their first look and private vows would be next to the bench where they would sneak away to between labs to each lunch in college. Cherry blossoms in full view in early spring. They wanted a mix of fun and intimacy for their photos, something that felt natural and organic (we were in a natural history museum after all...), something that gave them time to enjoy their families and friends and all of the great food from Off the Rez, and see all of the cool exhibits! And we did exactly that!
